A leading provider of front office trading technology is seeking a technical UNIX and SQL analyst to join their London based team. My client has made some recent promotions in the London office and as a result an excellent opportunity is available for a technical analyst to join the company.
As the technical analyst, you will be supporting the technical environment with regards to data flow, system issues, Database. You will work to a high level with UNIX and SQL, you will command and scrip using Shell and /or Perl on a UNIX platform. Use SQL as a query, data extraction and manipulation tool. You will document changes and adhere to internal process of documentation.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing financial technology company with one of the worlds leading web based products available. My client can offer training and development as well as being and company promoting organic growth and internal promotion.
The technical analyst will be working in front office capacity and interacting with system users (Traders or trade support) within some of the worlds leading financial trading institutions.
To be considered for the role of, Technical Analyst, Production Support, Technical Support, UNIX, SQL, Oracle, Shell, Perl, Financial Technology, you will need skills and experience in the following:
* You will need to have an excellent technical ability around a UNIX platform, you will need the ability to script and command using Shell and or Perl or Bash
* Excellent SQL skills - SQL Querying - Data extraction - Data manipulation - Table runs
* You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ideally you will have been educated to degree level in computer science or similar
