Technical Architect - application development and infrastructure

A leader in the FX trading and settlement field based in Canary Wharf is seeking a new Technical Architect -Documentation and Strategy - (IBM AIX, MQ, DB2, Tivoli) to join their strategy and documentation focussed architecture team.

The company have many consulting partners and external vendors they use for development and design of their trading and or enterprise systems and have a high level architecture in place internally to check the design and documentation of the external plans.

This role is for a Technical Architect -Documentation and Strategy - (IBM AIX, MQ, DB2, Tivoli) to join a very senior Enterprise Architecture team to support them in their strategy and checking the strategy of their external partners. You will need to have a background where your knowledge has breadth and you have had exposure to infrastructure, middleware, application development along side a passion to push yourself further into a pure strategy and documentation role.

This role Technical Architect -Documentation and Strategy - (IBM AIX, MQ, DB2, Tivoli) will need you to have a combination if skills including but definitely not needing all;
* Strategy and documentation (essential)
* Excellent Communication (essential)
* Windows Server and Client Operating Systems (essential)
* AIX and DB2 and MQ (essential)
* Passion to progress further in Technical Architecture (perhaps away from the design yourself to now checking design from others)

This role Technical Architect -Documentation and Strategy - (IBM AIX, MQ, DB2, Tivoli) is for someone from a telecoms or finance or consulting or vendor type firm where they wish to now work within a financial services firm in a more senior post looking at design and documentation of others.
