Technical Consultant – Fast Track Academy – Financial Services
We are now recruiting talented people with relevant technology experience to work within financial services. We will offer a comprehensive training program, which will provide a platform and opportunity to deliver on a variety of Excelian projects and services.

The programme will commence at the beginning of December 2013 with 8 weeks of intensive training at our London headquarters.
Our clients are based in financial centres internationally - London, Paris, Frankfurt. Johannesburg, Cape Town, Sydney, New York. Being willing and able to work in all of these regions is essential and will help you to gain a wealth of experience.

About the Programme
We are looking for technology focussed individuals who are looking to use their skills in a financial services environment. Our 8 week intensive training period blends consultancy skills and industry related business courses with vendor specific training.
Throughout this training you will be assessed using a combination of exams and presentations. You will be assigned a mentor to assist you throughout the programme.
After successfully completing your training you will have the opportunity to develop the skills learnt through hands-on experience working within our testing or support teams or on client site in one of our global locations.

Who we look for
- A minimum of 3 years proven experience in transferrable technical discipline (Programming, DB Admin, System Admin, Testing)
- In depth working knowledge of SQL and Unix – This will be tested at interview stage
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Must have a UK or other EU passport – this is due to European travel being required at short notice.
- Australian, South African and North American nationals will also be considered for work in our international offices
- A minimum 2:1 degree (BSc) in a Numerate/IT/Computer Science/ Electronic or other Engineering subject
Further Requirements
- Experience of working in the IT industry is required. Experience of working in the financial services industry is a distinct advantage as is experience of working in a consulting firm.
