Technical consultant required to join a specialist provider of client reporting software to the investment management (asset management, buy side) sector. You will be moving into a pre-sales role (pre sales, presales) using your technical skills and client facing experience.
Your role will be to take qualified sales leads from the sales teams and support them through the sales cycle by providing technical experience. You will spend time with my client's in-house products trainer to gain a solid understanding of the system's functionality and the technical behind it.
From there you will have the following responsibilities:
* Spending time at client site providing product demonstrations and workshops to highlight the benefits of the systems from a technical perspective
* Responding to requests for information (RFI)
* Building and maintaining a detailed product FAQ
* Supporting the sales and professional services teams with

To be considered for the role of Technical consultant - (financial services, pre-sales, reporting, client reporting, Business Objects, Cognos, Vermillion, Crystal Reports, Microsoft reporting Services, Actuate, SQL, stored procedure, product demonstration) - you must have the following skills and experience:
* Financial services background working with investment management (asset management, buy side) clients
* Knowledge of reporting solutions e.g. Business Objects, Cognos, Vermilion, Actuate, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services
* Strong Microsoft services SQL - the ability to write stored procedures
* Excellent client facing skills
