Technical Manager
The role will also act as a stand in to the lab manager when they are away in ensuring that all laboratory activities are carried out accordingly
Responsibilities:
- To manage technical developments and all technical aspects of the laboratory’s activities
- To manage the implementation and use of test software and keep abreast of developments
- To advise the Laboratory Manager on technical issues as appropriate
- To maintain familiarity with the standards to which both accredited and non-accredited measurements are performed
- To act as a UKAS test report signatory
- To supervise EMC testing carried out by EMC Test Technicians and EMC Test Engineers where appropriate
- To manage calibration, validation and verification work as required
Skills required
You’ll have proven technical management experience in an EMC/Electrical Safety testing environment and also have the flexibility to act as an assistant lab manager when required.
You’ll also possess experience of:
- EMC Testing / Electrical Safety Testing
- Developing test procedures
- Familiar with ISO 17025/9001
- Working to UKAS accreditation
