Company Description: We have been engaged by our client in the San Francisco Bay area to fill the position of Technical Marketing Engineer - Power ICs. This is a stable semiconductor company that is dedicated to providing new and innovative power management semiconductor products for the Military Aerospace, Medical, Automotive and Industrial markets. Although the Company currently enjoys success in all of these segments, they want to define new product roadmaps and expand the product portfolio to provide better solutions for its customers.
Position Description Responsibilities: In summary, the basic responsibilities of the Technical Marketing Engineer – Power ICs are: (1) achieve DC/DC Power Management growth on existing products, and (2) identify and develop incremental business via new Power IC products within the CPU and Server segments of the Computer industry and implement effective marketing strategies to increase profitable market share gains. In order to accomplish these goals, the successful candidate must be a “hands-on” engineer, capable of performing in a Technical Marketing / Application Engineering role, by way of assisting prospective clients to solving complex product issues and/or offering effective solutions to circuit problems. In addition to the macro responsibilities given above, the duties of the Technical Marketing Engineer – Power ICs will typically include, but are not limited to, the following - -
· Oversee market research and propose new product development ideas which can bring additional value to the Company and its customers within targeted market segments.
· In coordination with the Applications Team, establish roadmaps to guide Product Development in providing customers with innovative solutions.
· Monitor competitive activities and report any/all identified programs to develop new product solutions.
· Provide detailed product specifications for new applications.
· Wherever possible, partner with customers on developing solutions to specific Power Management needs.
· Assume ownership of and drive design-in promotion activities on the Power IC product family and their applications.
· Develop and drive product positioning strategies in terms of performance and price in order to give direction to the company’s Sales Force and Applications Team to achieve growth objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
· MS Degree in Electrical Engineering; MBA is a plus.
· Minimum of 5 years of Technical Marketing, Business Development and/or Field Application Engineering experience in the semiconductor industry; experience with Power Management semi’s is a serious plus.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
· Self starting professional who is well organized and skilled in prioritizing.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary - $120K to $160K, depending on experience, plus potential 20% Bonus. Benefits - includes all company benefits per company policy.
