Technical Project Manager
A leading Investment Bank is seeking a strong Technical Project Manager or development Manager to deliver transformational change to the front Office Risk and PnL systems as part of a multi-year investment programme.
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for driving, and delivering, transformational change and technology solutions for multiple consumers of Risk and PnL on Rates and Credit products.
Daily Project Management responsibilities will typically include:
- Own and lead multiple project streams to ensure timely delivery of transformational change to multiple stakeholders ranging from Trading to Risk Management
- Define and implement a pragmatic project structure to support delivery of change
- Represent the technology organization to a diverse set of stakeholders, providing clear written and verbal communication.
- Determine and action necessary project structure:
- Creation and distribution of both detailed and executive project status
- Be comfortable to propose ideas with key stakeholders and seek feedback and affirmation to the approach presented.
- Coordinate with technology and business teams to ensure coherent planning across teams and organizational boundaries.
- Chair necessary working groups and steering committees with appropriate stakeholder representation.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Project Manager or Development Manager experience in Investment Banking, preferably Risk and PnL calculation methodologies.
- Derivatives Knowledge, ideally FICC
- Trade Lifecycle, Pricing, and Banking workflows will all be beneficial.
- Proven track-record of driving complex project delivery to multiple business groups – such as front-office, financial control, and market risk.
- Appreciation of agile project management methods, whilst ensuring clear consistent documentation, financial control, and tracking.
This is a senior VP role, suiting a Project Manager from a technical background or a current Development Manager looking for greater scope and visibility with which to make a significant impact.
