Technical Project Manger
Adecco Engineering Technical is seeking a qualified Technical Project Manager for a contract-to-hire position in Richardson, TX Position Description: This position implements the project management methodology, processes, tools, and best practices in accordance to Project Management Lifecycle. The purpose of this position is to manage effective delivery of technology solutions and processes to the business. This includes the development of new services and product offerings requiring coordination between the business and technology teams. Responsibilities: ? Develop a Project Charter ? as new projects are identified, including establishment of proper scope, cost and time estimates, and managing delivery expectations from both the business and technical perspectives. ? Manage project scope, time and budget. ? Timeline management ? coordinates the necessary resources for project completion; develops milestones, project deliverables, and assures timely delivery. ? Risk Management ? identify, document, communicate, and minimize risks. ? Issue management - ensure project issues are addressed or escalated as appropriate. ? Change Control ? managing the change request process for the project. ? Status Reporting ? report to stakeholders and management on a weekly basis. ? Presentations ? present project status to staff meetings and periodic stakeholder meetings; present project management methodology to business and technical staff as needed. ? Other Duties a. Ensure quality is achieved as planned b. Escalate decisions and unresolved issues c. Establish appropriate key success indicators d. Conduct Project Learning reviews (i.e. "lessons learned") e. Close all project documentation and archive appropriate records and materials Requirements: ? 5+ years of technical project management experience practicing common project management methodologies. ? Excellent end-user interface and interpersonal skills ? Strong, up-to-date, technology skills in a variety of technologies ? Excellent people management skills ? Very good organization skills ? Excellent written communications ? Goal orientation and action-focused; pragmatic and self-disciplined ? Good team motivation and delegation skills ? Ability to work well in a somewhat "unstructured"/demand ?driven environment ? Excellent problem-solving/analytical skills ? Proven ability to direct multiple projects. ? Networked Physical Security Solutions experience a plus Education/Certifications: ? BS degree or equivalent experience ? Proficiency with MS Office; MS Project; MS Visio or similar tools ? Experience in establishing/setting/enforcing strong standards/procedures/processes ? PMO certification preferred ? Knowledge of Cisco product lines (PhySec, Switch/Router, UC) a plus
