Title: Technical Sales Specialist - Storage Systems (JO#3025)


What we need:

Client Technical Specialists are technical consultants to clients, internal sales teams and/or business partners. They understand the client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape. They provide technical sales support which may include: collaborate with internal sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions; deliver Proof of Concept; develop and deliver technical education; support critical situations; design solutions; and answer technical questions. When engaged for a specific opportunity or project, they are responsible for the technical accuracy of the proposed solution.

 

Specific Duties:

The role of the Storage IT specialist is to support the sale of Storage products. As part of the CTS Team, you will work with Storage Sales Specialists, Client Reps, Business Partners and directly with customers in a face to face manner. You will be responsible to provide in-depth Storage product knowledge as well as a knowledge of related Storage Software and networking products. You will analyze and review customer technical and business requirements, technically differentiate our client's products against competition, develop and present total storage solutions, and manage/coordinate pilots, trials, proof of concepts and product installations.

The successful candidate will combine technical knowledge with strong communication and presentation skills. The ability to work independently while operating as part of a team is essential. Practical experience with IBM's storage products (DS4000, DS6000, DS8000, SVC, XIV, LTO, V7000), SAN storage devices and knowledge of Storage Software is a definite asset.
