We are growing and need experienced Technical Consultants to join our dynamic technical consultancy team. It is an interactive role interfacing with our clients’ business technical representatives. The complexity requires a high level of technical and functional understanding and proficiency.   European Travel essential.

Responsibilities:

We have two slightly different roles available:

Role 1

The successful candidate must have:

Knowledge of virtualisation, networks, storage, databases and SOA using technologies such as:

Experience of deploying and supporting complex system infrastructures.

Excellent communication, written and team skills.

Enthusiastic and self motivated, with the ability to work alone.

Any experience in the following would be beneficial:

Any development experience in .Net (C#) – Framework 3.5 or above.
Any development experience in Java – J2SE V5 or above.
Working knowledge of front, middle and back-office operations in a banking or energy or commodity trading environment.
Experience of acting as a DBA for either Oracle or MS-SQL databases.
Knowledge of IT Security standards and compliance regulations.

Role 2

Background experience and skills required:

A good degree in a numerate discipline preferable
Good conceptual knowledge of either Oracle or MSSQL databases
Knowledge of SQL
Good troubleshooting skills.
Preferably some development experience (C/C++/C#/Java).
Working knowledge of front, middle and back office operations in a banking or Energy/Commodity environment preferable.
Excellent communication, written and team skills.
Enthusiastic and self motivated, with the ability to work alone.
