Technical Support Analyst Job in New York 10123, New York US

We are a growing company specializing in software for the health care industry.  We’re looking for a fresh face to join our team as a Technical Support Analyst. This position involves working evenings, nights and weekends.

LOCATION: North York
HOURS: Full-time - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
SALARY: $36,000 per year

ROLES RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond to all customer inquiries via email and telephone in a courteous and professional manner
• Answer the most commonly asked questions for defined issues
• Create, document, troubleshoot and escalate issues in accordance with SLAs
• Provide basic desktop support to a small in-house sales team
• Learn our software and its functions, inside and out
• Update our company web site
• Technical writing such as: white papers, help systems, manuals and tech sheets
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.), college diploma, or equivalent experience plus demonstrated ability and interest in technology
• Excellent English skills, oral and written (technical and non-technical)
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette
• Knowledge of web programming languages such as HTML, ASP, VB, and JavaScript is required
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (both server and desktop) and Office software is essential
• Knowledge of VPN software
• Knowledge of network topography (switches, hubs, cabling) and network protocols is beneficial
• Commitment to continuous personal and professional growth, coupled with good research skills
• Strong attention to detail
