Current Need

Maintain existing and develop new technical training course materials for new hires and existing Engineering staff using generally accepted instructional design principles.

Representative responsibilities include curriculum planning, scheduling presenters, preparing classroom and equipment, delivering presentations on selected topics, testing, coaching, and management reporting.

Technical courses and material deals with complex situations including application development or software build practices.

Courseware to be developed in a variety of media supporting physical and virtual classroom environments, such as synchronous and asynchronous distance learning, webinars, and virtual student coaching.

Experience working with product managers, developers, QA engineers, security team and other staff to understand and document existing and new product build methodologies and enhancements.

Position Description

Responsible for conducting classes for employees or customers regarding features and operation of software products.

May test and maintain training software, documentation, and A/V presentation materials.

May conduct training needs analyses and develop technical training materials.

Operates under general supervision.

Technical training courses and materials may deal with complex situations for multiple products. Interfaces with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.

Prepares lesson plans from software documentation, field requirements, and/ or or engineering documentation.

Works with programmers, software engineering and technical support to ensure that course material reflects current product features. May instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions.

Follows up to determine applicability of course material.

Additional Knowledge Skills

Solid understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS) based application and development methodologies

Familiarity with Agile (SCRUM) development methodologies

Familiarity of HTML/XML and .NET syntax and concepts

Fluency with Microsoft office suite required; SharePoint documentation experience and Adobe Suite skills (e.g., Captivate, Flash, FrameMaker, etc.) a plus

Knowledge of standard webconferencing tools, course development authoring tools (e.g., Captivate), and learning management system experience a plus.

Minimum Requirements

2+ years technical training, field sales, product support, and/or consulting experience

Education

BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.
