Headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Blood Services also has donation offices in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Greenville, North Carolina. We provide blood to hospitals in central and eastern Virginia and eastern North Carolina. We collect over 160,000 units of blood annually and the need grows!
We are currently seeking a Collection Tech (phlebotomist) to join our team in Fredericksburg, VA. You will travel in and around our sponsor area drawing blood and performing health histories on healthy donors. The hours are long and include weekends and holidays. You need to be flexible to work mornings, afternoons and evenings. Finally, a good DMV record is required for this position.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Medical assistant or phlebotomy training is preferred. Customer service experience, effective verbal communication, and public relations skills are required. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required. Basic computer skills desirable.
