Technology Business Manager
Our client one of the worlds leading Asset Management companies is looking to recruit a Business Manager to ?provide management and strategic support to the Head of Technology with responsibility for ensuring the right Financial management, Investment Governance, Management Reporting and Communication disciplines are in place to effectively govern the Technology function.
We are looking for a Business Manager to ensure departmentally processes are continuously improved and internal change activities effectively managed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Provide day to day management support to the Head of Technology
- On an on-going basis identify opportunities and develop proposals for departmental improvement and strategic change that leverage market best practice
- Manage internal (departmental) change activities as required
- Coordinate the development of a set of strategic goals and objectives for the department; support the ongoing management and delivery of these objectives throughout the year
- Establish and develop effective relationships with the senior IT leadership team and key business stakeholders
- In partnership with Business Finance and the wider Business management community, continually enhance the Financial Management processes to enable the Management Team to proactively manage Technology spend
- Define and implement a Communications Strategy
- Coordinate the generation of timely, accurate and appropriate management information
- Oversee the maintenance, enhancements and efficient utilisation of the Proof and Clarity project tracking and reporting tools.
- Work closely with the Management Services Teams, both in the UK and Asia, to ensure processes are consistent and reporting is aligned
For this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Broad Technology management background with proven experience of operating at a senior management level
- Strong project delivery track record of complex initiatives
- Strong financial management and planning skills
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, problem solving and organisational skills
- Proven influencing and communication skills with the ability to influence outside direct reporting lines
- Able to quickly build credibility with external partners at a senior level
- Able to operate effectively under pressure, to tight deadlines and to adapt to rapidly changing situations
- Strategic intelligence
Ability to work at different levels of detail and be able to concisely summarise complex issues
