Technology Risk
CONTEXT
The Information Security team helps the firm’s Technology and Business Divisions identify and manage risk; focusing on the architecture, design and implementation of internally- and externally-managed information systems.
The Information Security team is part of the global Technology Risk function encompassing Information Security, Business Continuity and IT Regulatory compliance (such as Sarbanes Oxley). The global Technology Risk team has a global presence including London, New York and Hong Kong. It covers all technology areas and business areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This person will support the EMEA Technology Risk organisation in providing project oversight and governance across a broad portfolio of projects, programmes and initiatives in the region. In addition, they will support EMEA Technology Risk across senior Working Groups and Committees across the region as well as EMEA-wide audit and regulator engagements.
- Region wide Committee Working Group coordination – including preparation, report creation coordination
- Regional Risk calendar – including internal external audit schedule, Regulatory engagements
- Regional Tech Risk governance – including Issue incident management, reporting schedule
- Regional Tech Risk operating office – including budget preparation financial reporting, project programme governance reporting, regional Tech Risk Training co-ordinator
- Coordination governance for all regional requirements into global Tech Risk teams supporting EMEA
- Regional Tech Risk communications coordinator
DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS
This client has one of the most progressive Technology Risk teams in the industry and is continuing to push the development of risk in preference to security within technology and the business. Year on year success has lead the team to work deeper into the organisation and gain valuable insights into how technology needs to function, what its risk really is and how this impacts the business.
The Technology Risk team maintains relationship with other risk functions including Operational Risk and Market Risk teams to further the more effective use of technology risk information.
KEY SKILLS EXPERIENCE
- Strong project and programme management skills managing a diverse set of projects across multiple disciplines
- Strong interpersonal, written and presentation skills essential: role requires frequent interaction with the regional Tech Risk management team and senior management across the region in multiple divisions and offices
- Strong risk controls and governance experience
- Management consultants with technology risk / IT risk assurance backgrounds will be considered
- Experience of facing off to Steer. Co level
- Must be able to manage both time and work load without constant supervision
- Experience of managing Technology Risk programmes
