TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

**MUST HAVE PREVIOUS BUSINESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS (CPE) EQUIPMENT SALES EXPERIENCE**
 

OVERVIEW

The Account Executive position is responsible for Prospecting and Developing new and existing client relationships resulting in profitable revenue generation through the sale of company offered products and services.  This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who has the skills necessary to uncover and/or identify customer needs, match those needs with the appropriate technical solution and bring the opportunity to a successful completion.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The DAILY responsibilities of the Account Executive include but are not limited to:

·         Sales planning.

·         Cold Calling / Prospecting.

·         Identifying and qualifying opportunities.

·         Sales Forecasting and opportunity management.

·         Preparing Sales Presentations, Proposals, SOW's and Contracts.

·         Insurance of proper customer record keeping.

·         Business networking.

·         Maintain customer satisfaction ratings within company specified ranges.

·         Maintain certification credentials on products / services offered by company.

·         Participation in Company meetings.

·         Any other duties as assigned

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in a field related to this position (e.g.: Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, etc.) or equivalent work experience in the Telecommunication or Information Technology (IT) industry.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years successful experience in Business to Business (B2B) sales of Telecommunications or Information Technology (IT) products and services.

 

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:

·         Highly detail oriented.

·         Strong Oral and Written Communication skills.

·         Strong Mathematical skills.

·         Professional demeanor.

·         General knowledge of business operations and practices.

·         Knowledge of business financial drivers : Profit and Loss (PL), Return on Investment (ROI), CapX, OpX

·         Fundamentals of lease / finance programs (Financing).

·         Avaya SME Product offerings.

·         ESI Product offerings.

·         Fundamentals of Data Networking to include but not limited to: Vlan, QoS, L2, L3.

·         Ability to learn a wide variety of hardware/software technologies and technology interdependencies.

·         Strong computer literacy / operating skills, such as the Microsoft Office Suite.

·         Possess strength in the following areas:  Overall Customer Service Skills, abstract thought, accommodation, assertiveness, persuasiveness, flexibility, self-discipline and a sense of ownership/accountability.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Account Executive will spend approximately 50%-75% of their work day outside of the office.  This time is either spent traveling to or in customer meetings, presentations, etc making the ability to travel and sit for long periods of time a requirement.  The Account Executive may occasionally be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
