TELECOMMUNICATIONS SALES SPECIALIST, UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS

Job description:
- Meet and Exceed Unified Communications sales and revenue targets for Enterprise Sales Channels (including telephony solutions from Mitel Avaya, Nortel, Cisco and Panasonic)
- Driving Sales of VC product lines including Tandberg and Polycom solutions
- Seek out and close Unified Communications sales opportunities
- Orchestrate the creation and delivery of presentations and proposals outlining recommended Unified Communications
- Own the Unified Communications solutions within larger account plans as part of team
- Assume tactical ownership of Unified Communications opportunities and program manage these opportunities to closure
- Engage appropriate internal an external resources to provide relevant UC solutions to a broad range of customer opportunities.
- Facilitate technical presentations and seminars to educate sales personnel as needed
Required qualifications:
- strong telephony and UC proficiencies
- Understanding of Microsoft OCS environment including integration to other UC and VC environments
- strong LAN and WAN skills
- strong understanding of IP protocols and standards
- strong understanding of Voice/Video over IP (VOIP, H.323, SIP)
- Knowledge of applications and solutions that drive IP connectivity (MPLS Networks, Internet Connectivity, IP Telephony, and Converged Applications)
- Demonstrated strong solution and strategic selling skills combined with exceptional business acumen
- Ability to relate technology to customer and convey benefits
- Assist in the preparation of RFPs and deliver technical presentations
- Create and implement sales strategies within specific accounts
- Comfort in presenting and liaising at all levels within a customer account
- strong team player who has worked well cross-functionally to achieve results
- University degree or equivalent business experience
- 3-5 years Sales or Sales Support experience in the Telecom/IT industry at the Enterprise level
- Proven track record of selling Unified Communications that are leading edge
