Telehealth Lead Nurse

TELEHEALTH LEAD NURSE / COPD – WILTSHIRE

Hays Healthcare is working with a leading private healthcare provider to assist them with the recruitment of a Telehealth Lead Nurse to work within their Wiltshire based establishment.

As a Nurse Specialist in one or more long-term conditions, the successful candidate will use their clinical skills to develop protocols and care pathways for the remote management of patients

As the expert in your clinical area, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of nurse led clinical support services. These will relate to your area of specialism and you will be required, on occasion, to offer management support and advice to Triage Nurse Advisors who will be triaging other patients with long-term conditions.

Initial duties will focus on your clinical expertise and this role will provide the opportunity to further develop your management skills with regard to change management and service redesign.
There will the opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their own team of nurses and healthcare assistants as the service grows.

Applicants should be professional and flexible, with the drive and motivation to succeed.
Skills and qualifications required:

· NMC Registered nurse with 5 years experience as a Band 7 or above – A prescribing qualification or project management qualification would also be desirable.
· Management experience of patients with named long-term conditions / Use of clinical decision making software.
· Experience setting up a new service or redesigning an existing service.
· Confident decision maker.
· Patient focused
· Excellent communication / interpersonal skills to effectively deal with complex patient and staff information.
· Excellent negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills.
· Problem solving and change management skills.
