Temporary Accounts Assistant - Based in Central London - Media (Publishing)
A well-established publishing firm based in are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team on an initial three month basis with the view to going permanent. The job is working closely alongside an Accounts supervisor and you will gain experience working in a fast-paced environment. It would suit somebody who has already gained at least 2 years experience in finance and is looking for an all-round accounts position with a view to becoming a qualified Accountant in the next few years.
The role will include purchase/sales ledger maintenance, invoicing, credit card statements, credit control, bank reconciliations, petty cash (including petty cash reconciliations at month end), dealing with multiple currencies, managing travel expenses and other ad-hoc accounts responsibilities.
To be considered you will need to have at least 2 years experience in accounts. You will have started, or have exemptions from, the ACCA/CIMA qualifications. You will also need to demonstrate a willingness to get stuck in with any ad-hoc responsibilities in the team. Candidates with a recent degree (2011-2014) are preferred. Alongside this experience using Paprika would be preferable but not essential.
