Job Summary:
Responsible and accountable for developing and project managing of menus, program materials, non-food products, training, marketing/website content and consumer and clinical research. Also responsible for managing nutrition technician staff and directing enrollment of clients with specialized health conditions.
Major Responsibilities:
Is a Nutrition resource for field staff and clients in Corporate Centres, Franchise Centres, Jenny Craig At Home (JCAH), Jenny Care, and the Internet. Specialization may include one or more of the following responsibilities: diabetes expertise, menu development, physical activity, motivational interviewing techniques and/or consumer/technical writing.
Responsible for project management and the innovation/ renovation of client program materials, retail products, and consultation format and counseling strategies, utilizing Nestle Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) and Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS) processes from ideation, development, industrialization and post-launch analysis.
Responsible for research of nutrition, exercise and cognitive-behavioral/motivational lifestyle strategies for weight management and wellness, as well as government/organizational guidelines for weight management and disease prevention in order to propose concepts for strategic development of program.
Assist in the development of content for staff training materials for new and renovated programs and products.
Assist in the development of marketing/public relations materials to communicate the Jenny Craig brand. Assist with Website content such as articles and recipes.
Responsible for managing Nutrition Technician(s) and overseeing Nutrition Call Centre to ensure quality and consistency of response.
Support development/execution of consumer/staff research to drive program and product innovation and renovation.
Coordinate support and monitoring of clinical research/outcomes studies.
Coordinate and execute Company exhibit sponsorships and act as Company representative to communicate program elements and efficacy.
Collaborate with Product Development and Quality Assurance on the development of product nutritional parameters and activities such as change control and nutritional compliance.
Monitor competitive programs, new developments in the weight loss industry and obesity research.
Support the Company and Research Program Innovation Department on the implementation of the Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS) and the continuous improvement for quality.
Responsible and accountable for managing direct reports including: preparation and presentation of performance evaluations, objective setting, compensation recommendations, training and professional development, disciplinary actions, selection interviews, and monitoring adherence to Company and department policies, procedures, and practices.
Responsible for creating and supporting a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment-free work environment by understanding and complying with the Company’s policies, by demonstrating the Company’s values, and being a role model for the Company Brand.

Education and/or Experience:
Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association required
Certified Diabetes Educator desirable
Exercise/fitness-related certification desirable
Motivational interviewing certificate desirable
Experience with consumer-technical writing desirable
Minimum of five years job-related experience, especially in the area of weight management and/or diabetes, counseling and program development.
Experience with applying science-based information to the writing of consumer-based materials
Other Skills:
Strong counseling, presentation, technical/consumer writing and proofreading skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work with Internet, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and nutritional spreadsheet software such as Nutritionist Pro.
Ability to be an effective team player and be empathetic.
