Territory Manager Job in Charlottesville, Virginia US

Charlottesville, VA - The Territory Manager is responsible for maintaining existing sales volume and contributing sales growth via account and product conversions in assigned accounts. The incumbent will provide customer relations function for the Division in assigned accounts to include order assistance, problem solving, key physician interface, and product in-service. EOE M/F/D/V

* Develop and maintain an acceptable level of knowledge of the ENT product line, business objectives, pricing strategies, and proven sales techniques for ENT products.

* Establish, develop, and maintain field contact with key ENT customers, clinicians and researchers, and other decision makers in assigned accounts.

* Achieve sales quotas for ENT products within assigned area.

* Conduct ENT in-service training programs at hospital and clinic level.

* Develop rapport with personnel at target teaching hospitals within his/her area with an emphasis on residents in ENT.

* Establish, develop, and maintain sales in all accounts under regional or national buying group contracts.

* Assist Product Managers on field projects including test markets, market surveys, product idea evaluations, and competitive research.

* Establish and maintain written and oral communication with both field and internal Sales Management with attention to development of territory strategic business plans, sales calls made, follow-up required, market potential, and recommendations as to pricing or promotional strategy.

* Assist in building and maintaining a high level of enthusiasm for ENT products within his/her assigned area.

* Plan his/her activity calendar and organize time to achieve agreed upon goals established between the Territory Manager and ENT Sales Management.

* Assist in working major national conventions and local/regional meetings as determined by ENT Sales Management.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

* A Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or other related business field is required.

* A minimum of 3 years of successful experience in Sales, Marketing, or related field is required.

* Experience in a medical field is preferred.

* A working knowledge of PC, word processing, and some analytical software is a must.

* The following physical demands are required:
- Lift/Carry 25 pounds
- Vision requirements correctable to 20/20 vision
- Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours a day
- Operate moving vehicles
