The Business Analyst focuses on providing operational and functional support to GMCR’s primary business groups. Working with business partners within Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Innovation groups, your goal is to align technology solutions with business strategies to ensure consistency throughout the organization while achieving effective use of our processes and associated technology. The successful candidate will have the appropriate business area knowledge and demonstrated expertise in enterprise analysis, business process documentation, requirements elicitation management, modeling techniques, and solution assessment validation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates an informed knowledge of a business area to resolve problems on an ongoing business by completing the current to future state business case.
- Possesses expertise and understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities.
- Builds, develops, and grows business relationships with project stakeholders at multiple levels and multiple locations
- Assumes shared ownership with IT groups for business process design, documentation and implementation.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to elicit and document requirements.
- Analyzes business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
- Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications using the Business Analyst toolkit: Use cases, Process flows, Activity diagrams and narratives, test cases and scripts, requirements matrices.
- Document and manage various testing activities like Unit testing, System Integrations testing and User Acceptance testing and their associated test scripts.
- Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business.
- Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
- Effectively communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Identify and resolve or escalate issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Contribute to common project elements such as Project Charters, dependencies, risks, issues, and status reporting.
- Stay abreast of changes and improvements in Business Analysis profession and offer innovative ideas for improving IT management processes and methodologies that would give our organization a competitive edge
OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS:
- Works on multiple projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader on smaller projects.
- Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by Keurig, GMCR and the department
- Performs other duties as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 6 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in the following domain areas:
o Quality Assurance/Quality Control in Food Beverage, Consumer Appliance design, or similar industry
o Contract Manufacturing and Supplier relationship management
o The management of Business Information focused on Quality, Engineering Change Control, or Product Lifecycle processes and data
- Typically has 2-4 years of work experience as a Systems Analyst or similar role with an applied understanding of the following technologies:
o Relational databases and data dictionaries/models
o User Interface design and mockups
o Software testing methods
o Data integration concepts such as data mapping and ETL process flows
- Demonstrates competency in the following leadership areas: Customer Focus, Process Management, and Dealing with Ambiguity
o Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; Establishes and maintains effective relationships
o Can simplify complex processes; Knows what to measure and how to measure it; Knows how to organize people and activities
o Can comfortably handle risk, shift gears comfortably, and effectively cope with change.
- Knowledge and experience in automated test inspection and direct data acquisition is desirable
- Intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Planview preferred in order to create requirement plans
- Expert in Microsoft Office and modeling tools such as Visio.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related field.
- Business Analysis training from an IIBA accredited program is preferred, but can be provided.
- Ability to follow Keurig and GMCR policies and procedures as well as our operating principles
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67% - 100% of the workday).
- Ability to travel 20% of the time in the New England area
