Description
- Performs highly complex testing and analyzes network systems development including integration, systems testing, interoperability testing, field test plans and customer acceptance plans to maintain the credibility/viability of the system.
- Investigates and resolves highly complex operational matters of significance in conjunction with other engineering and technical support to ensure cost effective and efficient resolution of problems.
- Provides technical expertise and guidance in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of test processes and diagnostic programs for system testing.
- Consults with clients on highly complex systems; determines systems requirements; recommends processes and/or programs, coordinates project team and follows through on implementation.
- Reviews cost analyses and vendor product comparisons to ensure cost effective and efficient operations. Recommends significant product investment(s) to management. Acts as liaison with outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items.
- Provides complex technical expertise to engineering management in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.
- Reviews literature, patents and current practices to support business requirements and/or new industry technology. Prepares reports and/or recommendations regarding new technology to senior management.
- Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field preferred
- Nine or more years of QA testing, test plans, designing, trace ability, preparing documentation, execution, and reporting
- Nine or more years of designing functional and non-functional test strategy
- Eight or more years of experience in test environment setup experience
- Eight or more years of experience in tools exposure: Defect tracker, version control, MS tools list visual studio team system, etc.
- Eight or more years of experience in testing automation using any tool
- Nine or more years of network testing experience
- Experience working with computer systems and their uses
- Experience working with telecommunications systems and their principles
- Experience working with network management and protocol system testing
- Experience working with scripting languages such as TCL, PERL, HP, etc
- Experience working with data transmission protocols such as TCP/IP, etc.
- Experience working with operating systems
- Experience working with protocols and technologies such as HTTP, SSL, FTP, SMTP, POP3, etc.
- Experience working with network equipment: switches, routers, firewall's, intrusion detection systems, etc.
Other Qualifications

- Documentation required for design control - medical device classification based verification and validation
