This role will be responsible for strategic implementation of testing in the WMIT APAC environment. The Test Manager has to make sure that recurring APAC Software deliveries are thoroughly tested together with existing/new Local HK/SG Software deliveries.

Key task and responsibilities include:

This role will be responsible for strategic implementation of testing in the WMIT APAC environment. The Test Manager has to make sure that recurring APAC Software deliveries are thoroughly tested together with existing/new Local HK/SG Software deliveries.

• Developing and implementing a department wide strategy and plan for testing across the APAC environment based on the overall global strategy

• Responsible for managing the testing through the project lifecycle from systems integration and performance testing through to user acceptance and regression testing

• Matrix management of test managers (responsible for program/project testing)

• Test management, including communications, monitoring and controls.

• Reporting and managing risks and issues

• Developing and managing metrics reporting (cost of quality, forecasting, quality measurement)

• Drive continuous improvement and ensure quality management processes and standards are being adhered to

• Providing quality and efficient testing services by consistently reviewing and improving the current testing process

• Manage all testing related trainings and certifications

Requirements:

• A minimum of 10+ years of dedicated experience in a senior QA or Testing Role

• Considerable previous experience of developing and executing test strategies, detailed test plans, test cases and test data

• Proven track record of hiring good test managers and engineers

• Knowledge and preferably practical experience of all test stages and types (unit, component, system, integration, functional, reliability, availability, volume, performance, business and operations acceptance).

• Able to clearly define, manage and execute a robust defect management process.

• Experience of defining, setting up, enforcing best practice with defect tracking and change management tools

• Experience of contributing to the implementation of large-scale change projects in major organizations

• Ability to persuade and influence staff at all levels

• Ability to develop and maintain strong partnership with the business and IT Development teams

• Strong analytical skills

• In-depth knowledge of industry standard test processes

• An awareness, or an ability to quickly understand, the technical components that make up the Bank’s chosen architecture

• Strong communication skills (including presentations)
