We are searching for a talented Logistics Supply Chain Engineer interested in supporting suppliers in quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives. In this contract role, you will: Problem Solve- Identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Perform Process Evaluation- Identify measures or indicators of Logistics process performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the THANKS Activity goals Monitor- Monitor/Assess suppliers to make improvements or take corrective action Communicate- Convey information effectively In addition, you will Design and analyze operational solutions for projects such as transportation optimization, network modeling, process and methods analysis, cost containment, capacity enhancement, routing and shipment optimization, and information management Apply logistics modeling techniques to address issues such as operational process improvements and facility design or layout Evaluate effectiveness of current or future logistical processes Analyze and interpret logistics data, must be able to conduct logistics studies and analysis Deal with suppliers customers on quality and cost concerns Follow up on implementation Minimum Requirements: 4 year Bachelor's Degree, preferably in logistics, engineering or other technical subject 5-10 years of experience in logistics supply chain engineering Ability to organize, plan, and solve problems Team player Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Powerpoint Self-motivated Interest and flexibility to travel to supplier locations, 80%-plus; majority of travel within driving distance If you're qualified and interested, apply now.
