Third Party Fund Analyst recruitment
Our client is seeking a results-driven individual to work within the Research Team as an analyst of collective investments.
The Collectives Research team provides recommendations to support the centralised investment process utilised by the company's Investment Managers.
Duties of the Third Party Fund Analyst include:
- Generalist analytical role with the main focus on equity funds
- Develop a good understanding of the company’s universe of funds and the drivers of performance
- Maintain active recommendations on 40-50 collectives, generating effective and timely investment recommendations
- Play an active part in the firm’s central investment process, actively contributing to the model portfolio process
- Keep electronic databases and other internal systems and publications up to date
- Communicate collective recommendations effectively and persuasively in both verbal and written format and inform Investment Managers of significant developments and events
- Present to the investment teams in London and other branches
Key criteria for this role include:
- Educated to degree level (unless suitably skilled)
- Qualified or part qualified in either the SI Diploma or CFA
- Worked in financial markets, preferably with some Investment Trust knowledge
- Track record of researching Fixed Income and Alternatives (e.g. Hedge Funds, UCITS Absolute Return and Private Equity) advantageous
- Knowledge of Hindsight, Datastream and Style Research Portfolio Analyzer
- Strong decision making skills and attention to detail
- Manages junior employees as appropriate by setting priorities and direction of work
- Flexibility to work unusual hours and ability to travel to other branches on occasions when required
- Excellent Excel skills
