Business Unit Overview:The Portfolio Compliance Group (PCG) is a global group which sits within the Aladdin Portfolio Services Group (APSG) one of the core functions within the Business Operations Group at BlackRock. Portfolio Compliance is responsible for implementing controls processes, to ensure we are portfolio compliant with all applicable regulatory and portfolio issued guidelines. This relates to trading and investments, including core Aladdin pre- and post-trade compliance and non-Aladdin trading compliance; mutual fund monitoring and reporting; global syndicate offering review; ERISA monitoring, and regulatory threshold monitoring and reporting.
Job Purpose/Background:The Thresholds Reporting team in London is primarily responsible for the monitoring and reporting of regulatory thresholds requirements for the EMEA region as well as responding to internal and external requests for information on the firms positions in companies and securities. The group is engaged with and provides services to many other departments across the firm in particular; Portfolio Management, Legal Compliance, and Corporate Governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and reporting holdings that have reached prescribed thresholds
- Identifying holdings that are approaching prescribed pre-approval thresholds
- Making necessary disclosures in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintaining clear records of all filings and communications
- Communicating externally with Regulators, TOP, external firms and lawyers
- Communicating internally in a timely, accurate, and professional manner with relevant groups
- Keeping up to date with regulatory change and developments impacting the function
- Supporting and leading colleagues with internal and external queries relating to shareholdings
- Assist with training of team members
- Process, control, procedures and system enhancements
- General assistance with related tasks and projects as required
