TICK DATA TECHNICAL LEAD - VP - Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 + 20% Bonus Potential

My client’s Investment Banking IT department is responsible for the development and upkeep of all information technology systems within the investment banking division of the firm.
Candidates must have prior experience of at-least 3-5 years in the Tick Data domain, having worked in delivering solutions for multi-asset electronic trading.
Deliverables Include:
• Build strong relationships with Traders and Quantitative analysts by understanding their requirements and delivering appropriate solutions.
• Develop feed programs into the Tick Data platform from a variety of data sources like price feeds, transaction systems etc.
• Analysis, normalization and mapping of the data based on business requirements.
• Build access interfaces and tools to facilitate efficient access, correlation and usage of the data
• Enhance and maintain the platform with good control of data quality
• Work with other stakeholders to refine strategy, define roadmaps and deliver to those roadmaps
• Hours: Communication would be needed with other locations globally which requires early mornings and/or late evenings.
Must have hands-on experience with most of the following:
• Strong knowledge and working experience in the Tick Data domain in data analysis, normalization and development.
• 10 years of experience in an investment bank technology organization Electronic trading platforms in Equities, Fixed Income or Foreign Exchange
• Strong knowledge of tick data platforms like KDB, Vhayu, OneTick or similar.
• Proven experience in developing programs that manipulates large amounts of data
• Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Python, Shell scripts etc.
• Strong development experience in C++ or Java on Linux
• Experience of managing a global and distributed team
• Solid understanding of market data feeds including direct from exchanges/venues and consolidated feeds
