Tier 1 Associate for Leading Private Equity Fund recruitment
Our Client
Our client is a leading Mid Cap Private Equity Investment fund. The firm have offices globally and have a particular focus on leveraged buyouts, equity, debt, and distressed investments. Industries targeted for investment are broad and diverse, with no particular industry excluded from consideration. Investments have been across many different sectors but over the recent years a specialisation within distressed/turnaround opportunities has been key.
The fund as a whole has a strong track record with repeated Investment from their backers across the markets. They are currently mid-way through investing their current fund with plans to start fund raising for their next fund towards the end of 2012. This role is a great opportunity to join a growing team with the prospect after a few months to be part of the next round of fund raising.
The Role
The London arm of the business is currently looking to hire a top ranked Associate to join to their Investment team to work across the full range of an Investment cycle.
You would be working across every facet of the investment and advisory life cycle given the small nature of the team. Therefore this role will deliver a very high level of responsibility and client facing time from day one. You will be meeting and advising clients from an early stage and each day will bring quite different challenges and roles. Therefore you will need to be very smart, dynamic and have an ability to advise both your peers and clients of your thoughts and opinions in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
• 2-5 years of London based Bulge Bracket Corporate Finance Experience
• University degree from a leading institution with a 2:1 or equivalent result.
• A second European language skill is essential (preference towards German)
• Extensive DCF/ valuation modelling Experience
The team are looking to hire an Associate as soon as possible to enable the successful candidate chance to learn the markets ahead of fund raising. The opportunity is for a 3 year contract with review towards the end. The interview rounds will be a standard 3-4 stages with modelling tests included.
