THE ROLE
You will be the expert in plastic injection moulding tooling, pressed metal tooling and die casting and the 'go to' person technnically for all manuacturing tooling. As Tooling Engineer you will support purchasing and act as project engineer in the sourcing and introduction of plastic injection mould tools, pressed metal tooling and die casting. The Tooling Engineer be involved in sourcing, negotiating contracts and terms of business within a quality assurance system. This role will be involve working with offshore tooling suppliers in India and China.
THE PERSON
Applicants will be experts and come from a hands on environment in tooling or toolmaking. The Tooling Engineer will have considerable experience in either plastic injection moulding tooling, pressed metal tooling and or die casting. Ideal candidates will have experience in sourcing and introducing tooling into low cost manufacturing overseas such as India or China. You will have good project management skills and be able to work commercially and closely with purchasing and supply chain.
