Top Tier Associate required for Global Restructuring House

Overview

Our client has built up a very successful restructuring business over a number of years and can demonstrate a strong track record of working on restructuring transactions. Specifically in Europe the bank has tended to focus on the Western and Southern European markets. We have been mandated to source two individuals for the practice at around the Associate 2/3 level.

it is important to note that this client has developed a strong practice which is not purely counter cyclical where upon they operate an advisory model across a number of sectors which they draw upon as well which has been the key to the success of the business.

The role is one where the sector focus is generalist but the technical rigour is extremely strong therefore this is a role for someone that is already operating within a well-recognised Investment Banking or Restructuring environment and has very good modelling skills. You will work as part of the team in London but expect to travel to client offices on a regular basis to fulfil mandates.

The Role

Your role will be to work across the lifecycle of the project, undertaking solid execution and pitching for new mandates as well. You will liaise closely with senior management as the deal teams are small and also be responsible for the work and quality of output from the junior resources in the team. You can expect a strong learning curve with this role and the level of responsibility for the work you are doing will be noticeably higher than within a classic IB structure.

Skills

You should have the following skill sets to apply:

-Tier 1/ 2 Restructuring or Leveraged Finance experience and be at around the Associate 2/3 level.

-A demonstrable track record of closed deals is also required

-You will need to have a really strong modelling skill set. This will be tested heavily in the interview process with good abilities particularly in LBO modelling.

-A second European language would be a real plus

-Educationally you will need to be really strong. At least a 2:1 of equivalent score would be required from a leading institution. If you have post MBA experience that is also fine.

-The ability to work hard in a deal driven environment will be rewarded with excellent remuneration
