Top tier Investment bank for an AVP
An excellent opportunity has arisen within a Top tier Investment bank for an AVP - Legal Entity Controller to strengthen the existing team.
The team are primarily responsible for the oversight of the UK entities and ensuring that a strong control environment exists as it relates to all businesses, products and operational areas that impact the UK financial accounts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Review and report financial results and present business commentary.
- Develop an understanding of the products and businesses
-Build relationships with key stakeholders including Product Control, Business Manager, Corporate, Tax, Regulatory Reporting, Technology and Corporate teams.
-Act as the point of contact with these areas on project initiatives and ad-hoc issues.
- Work closely with the Reporting team who produce the UK statutory accounts, board reports and other MIS reports.
-Review Quarterly Board Reports and Capital Committee Papers
- Review Year End Statutory Accounts for the entity
-Complete US regulatory reports for the Federal Reserve Bank.
- Manage the FX Tradeout process for the entity.
-Support various projects and initiatives, which impact the legal entity including product, Infrastructure, Regulatory, Compliance and other business driven initiatives.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE
-ACA qualified or equivalent
-Experience of investment bank financial accounting and products is must
- Good product knowledge, with an ability to develop an understanding of new products.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills and able to demonstrate an ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
-Strong analytical ability, being able to discuss legal entity and business results and issues with senior management.
