Swiss Re is at the initial stage of this undertaking and the incumbent will have the opportunity of steering it through the various phases including analysing the current state, designing and developing the strategy, collaboration with people from across the business, influencing key stakeholders and finally global implementation, with significant autonomy in shaping all of these stages. There will be management responsibility for one direct report.
Main tasks/activities:

- Building and leading an appropriate project team, defining project objectives and working collaboratively with managers within CBIM, with other parts of HR (for example Talent Management, Learning and Development and Payroll), other functions (for example Finance, Legal and IT) and external vendors
- Taking the lead in designing and proposing an appropriate global Total Reward strategy and framework for Swiss Re (considering and evaluating the full spectrum of reward elements) and road map for achieving this
- Testing proposals with stakeholders, and supporting the Head of CBIM in delivery of recommendations to senior management
- Once approved, taking the lead in implementation of the programme including designing and delivering of associated communication, embedding technology and administration processes, and designing training activities
- Establishing an ongoing monitoring and evaluation process to adapt Total Rewards strategy and projects where appropriate to changing internal and external environmental factors
- Responsibility for ongoing management of the global Non-Monetary Reward and Recognition programme, an important Total Rewards element. This is currently a well established project
- 8-10 years of demonstrated experience in various compensation and / or benefits areas
- Good understanding of critical elements of successful rewards programme
- Work experience gained in a complex multinational matrix business
- Previous exposure to change management and successfully driving change
- Ability to combine both the strategic aspects of compensation and benefits with a strong proven track record of operational excellence
- Exceptional project management and delivery skills
