The Role
Our client a leading Global Financial Services organisation is seeking a Trade Capabilities and Solutions manager to join their Global Trade Services and Finance team within their Dublin office. Providing an oversight framework on Trade Services Trade Finance Products to ensure appropriate mitigation of risks associated with the development, on-boarding and ongoing management of these Products.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Global Product Managers and Trade Sales to review and assess various Trade structures with particular focus on Commodities sector.
- The successful candidate would drive the identification of solutions to support structures within Trade Commodities Finance.
- Work in tandem with Trade Technology on the scoping and development of technological solutions to ramp-up and facilitate increased deal volume and scale within the Commodities sector.
- Responsible for identification of bespoke solutions to support the rollout of new Trade Finance products (in particular Commodities Finance) in addition to supporting existing Trade businesses.
- Review of new transactions, ensuring facility terms/bank procedures/compliance and market regulations are met at all times.
- Responsibility for the day-to-day management of customers’ credit facilities (oil, metals, and soft commodities), ensuring adherence to facility approval terms.
- Excellent exposure to newly developed and existing Trade Finance products.
- Gain deep understanding of one of the most profitable exciting sectors of the organisation.
- Involvement in Global Deal Review and opportunity to build relationships with Trade Seniors in NY, London, Dublin and Asia.
Requirements
- Previous work experience in a specialist Risk or Operational Unit with experience in Trade Finance, Collateral and Systems with the ability to communicate to the highest standard within the bank.
- Awareness of market, customer and product needs and importance of strong internal relationships.
- Knowledge of all aspects of Commodities related transactions such Letters of Credit, Guarantees, LOIs, Inventory and Midstream Downstream industries.
- Ability to work effectively with various functions and successfully drive solutions and support structures to completion.
- Proficient in MS Office; strong working knowledge of ACCESS database is useful but not essential.
- Working knowledge/experience in the use of Bloomberg, Argus, Platts or any market pricing service provider with a particular relevancy to Commodities.
- Minimum undergraduate degree or appropriate experience in a relevant field applicable to the role.
- Experience and understanding of Trade Commodities Finance products and Collateral Structures Systems.
