We are pleased to announce that Bank of Middle Office (MO) business is in the process of building a further presence on the Chester campus. Building a team in Chester provides the Global Markets Operations Middle Office (GMOMO) group with the ability to leverage Chester based talent while at the same time providing associates with new career opportunities in a different line of business.
Work closely with the Trading Desk to support the business across asset classes and perform Trade Control Responsibilities such as –
- Trade Booking and Validation – Timely and accurate management of trade capture process to ensure all trades are booked according to terms of underlying agreement in both Front-Office and down-stream applications
- Collateral reconciliation – Validate moves in positions and Make to Markets (MtM) in relation to daily collateral calls
- Provide support to assigned trading desks – Support the Trading desk across all Middle-Office functions in a timely and accurate manor
- Ongoing Trade maintenance – Manage trade lifecycle events such as resets, fixings, substitutions, credit default events, expiries and Maturities
- Investigate and resolve position breaks – Work closely with Front and Back Office to resolve breaks (eg. Cash, Positions, Valuations etc)
- Production of daily reports – Distribute Daily reports to the Trading desk and Senior Management (requiring a high level of attention to detail)
- Resolve Risk and PL issues - Work closely with MO Risk and PL to resolve issues in a timely manner
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Excellent organisational skills are required with the ability to prioritise daily workload whilst working accurately under pressure
- Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority
- Previous experience in dealing with internal and external clients; ideally within an Investment Bank
- Ability to rapidly learn and understand new tasks presented and quickly commit to memory in a high volume environment
- Logical approach to problem solving taking ownership and offering practical solutions
- Proven analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation
- A strong numerical mind set with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to identify and deliver process improvements
- Competence in databases, excel (macros, formulas)and outlook
- Flexibility to travel for initial training period (approx 2-4weeks further flexibility maybe required)
