Trader (Iron Ore)

Trader (Iron Ore) – Competitive Package -- Singapore

The successful candidate should have in-depth knowledge of physical and paper iron ore markets and an understanding of multiple contract types (futures, derivatives, options, and swaps, etc). The ideal person for this role will be self-motivated and highly driven with strong analytical and risk management skills. The candidate should also have a proven track record of Iron Ore and Commodities/Drybulk trading, and preferably have a network of contacts within the industry.

Key responsibilities of the iron ore trader:

-          Daily market analysis of Iron Ore markets

-          Execution of physical and paper Iron Ore contracts

-          Risk management

-          Data modelling and analytics (preferred)

-          Promote cross product trading amongst other commodities departments

-          Manage commodity hedging requirements of the business

-          Expand and grow the business by strategically increasing trading volumes

Requirements:

-          Comprehensive experience in trading physical and iron ore trading

-          Current and extensive network of market contacts (preferred)

-          Be able to demonstrate a successful track record in iron ore and commodities trading

-          High level of written and verbal communications (English and Mandarin preferred)

-          Strong numerical aptitude

-          Ambitious and results-driven

-          Interpersonal and relationship management skills
