About the Opportunity
SWIB is seeking a senior-level trader to join its Public Equities Group. The Trader is responsible for the purchase and sale of domestic and international equity trades.
Essential Activities
- Effectively execute domestic and international stock trades, and derivative transactions
- Manage foreign exchange trading activities
- Develop and maintain a network of value-added trading relationships with top research firms and brokers
- Participate in build-out of trading tools, services, and other infrastructure required for trading new instruments
- Assist with monitoring external managers
Candidate Qualifications
- 10 + years of trading experience with emphasis on options, futures, foreign exchange, domestic and international equities
- Derivative trading experience should include strategy recommendations through fundamental analysis and development of screening and pricing tools
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or similar degree
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Comfort taking initiative, being resourceful, and performing within a team environment performing within a team environment
- Superb work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, commitment to excellence, and alpha generation focus
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

The position requires U.S. work authorization and current residency in, or willingness to relocate to, the Madison, Wisconsin area. SWIB is prepared to offer relocation assistance as needed.
