Traders Assistant
Our client are a fixed income asset manager with around $50bn AuM. The Emerging Markets desk run a number of long only and hedge funds which invest in corporate / sovereign bonds and currency across the Global EM. The EM team is key part of the business and are recognised externally as one of the leading EM desks.
Due to continuing expansion they are looking to hire an EM Traders Assistant, supporting the EM Traders who cover corporate and sovereign bonds the role has a number of functions:
- Confirming trades with the market
- Booking trades in system
- Dealing with booking errors/counterparty queries
- Monitoring outstanding trades and current market levels
- Update primary deals spreadsheets
- Developing market relationships
The Traders Assistant will be expected to slowly gain market knowledge and grow into more responsibility over time.
The candidate is expected to come from one of three backgrounds:
- Junior sell-side Trader who wants to move into the buy-side
- Trade support / execution team within an investment bank
- A similar role within a buy-side firm
Existing knowledge of the bond markets is strongly preferred and Emerging Markets experience would be beneficial.
