Traffic Operator / Fertilizer Trader
Traffic Operator / Fertilizers, Agri, Soft Commodities, Bulk, Raw Materials, Physical, Energy, Asia, Location: China, Beijing.
A leading physical commodity trading house in Beijing is currently expanding their fertilizer business unit. They are seeking an experienced operator/traffic professional with some trading experience, or a junior trader with an operations background to join the team.
Responsibilities
• Managing Fertiliser trading operations from the vessel to the customer and ensuring timely delivery of product to the customer
• Assisting Senior Trader/Vertical Head in creating and expanding customer base through new market development
• Establishing a strong network of customers and client throughout the region
• Manage a large profitable trading book
• Have competency and strong experience in the following commodities; fertilizers, chemical, bulk commodities.
• Perform duties in trading while working closely with logistics and finance
Requirements
• At least 4 years experience as a junior trader or operator in the commodities space
• Exposure across global fertiliser markets
• Experience in operations and traffic is essential
• Be willing to be based in Beijing
• Must speak Mandarin as you will be dealing with the Chinese markets
• Successful candidates will possess an entrepreneurial outlook.
• A strong degree level education is required.
