Trainee Consultant
Training will cover:
- OTC derivatives pricing and trading execution
- Financial risk management strategy
- Use of advanced pricing systems
- Valuations and benchmarking
- Client relations
Initial responsibilities will include:
- Completion of SII examinations in Regulation, Securities and Derivatives
- Valuation of interest rate and foreign exchange derivatives and other financial instruments
- Involvement in the execution of hedging instruments on behalf of clients
- Liaising with staff across our office network, regarding the pricing of financial instruments
- negotiating fair pricing with the banks
Trainees will have significant exposure to clients, financial institutions and other consultants within the J C Rathbone Group.
Opportunities for progression after the initial training period cover the spectrum of our activities, which also include structured finance advisory, commodity derivatives and energy derivatives.
We are looking for individuals with outstanding academic results, including a first or upper second from a top class university, in either finance, economics or mathematics based subjects. We are looking for candidates who possess commercial awareness and excellent communication skills. Candidates with language skills and relevant work experience will be at an advantage.
