Trainee – Global Equity Flow (Ref: MARKASI-P591KM) recruitment
Main Responsibilities:
You will work on Global Equity Flow desk in HK and support Head of Global Equity Flow (GEF) business line and local Chief Operating Officer in
- New business setup
- Identification of process weaknesses (suggest action plan accordingly)
- Solving operational issues
- Reports building
- Coordination between FO and Operational IT, Legal, Compliance department on a wide range of questions (on a day-to-day basis)
- Participating in non recurrent initiative such as seminar organisation
You will work on the following task:
Project Management
- Identify recurrent process issue, suggest action plan, ensure implementation
- Track New Business projects progresses in liaison with FO project team and Resource Functions project team
Provide operational support to day-to-day business
- Trouble shoot IT internal issues
- Setup Give Up Agreement between Head of GEF Vol Flow desk and Clients
Perform simple Controls
- Ensure action plan (following an operational loss) is properly setup
- Control Sales Traders access (tools, sharepoints, dealing room)
- Investigate when security anomaly is detected
Support to Resource Functions
- Answer Support Functions questions/retrieve data when necessary
Follow-up and report HC PnL changes on a periodic basis
- Ensure building of GEF weekly PnL and get all comments of GEF heads of desks
- Ensure headcount internal report is up to date when staff move
- Ensure new joiner integration administrative IT wise (access, tool)
Ensure mandates sign off
- Ensure Trading mandates are up-to-date and signed by all traders
- Ensure Sales Handbook are up-to-date and signed by all Sales
Follow up costs
- Identify where some costs saving are feasible and implement
- Apply new cost savings guidelines on GEF perimeter
- Follow up GEF costs on a regular basis
- Follow up consumption of Marketing costs
Support non recurrent initiatives
- Participate to seminar organisation
- Build PowerPoint presentation on GEF business activity according to specific needs
Requirements:
- Master Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering or related disciplines
• Must be familiar with Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English
• Ideally experience in project management
• Understanding of the products traded (equities, swaps, futures, options) – desirable
• Previous working experience in Financial field is preferred
