Transaction and Portfolio Manager recruitment
This role sits within the transaction and portfolio management area for the bank and assumes responsibility for risk exposures following the financial close of a deal. The principle portfolio concentrations are in the area of Project Finance (PFI/PPP/Telecoms/Energy and Structured products). Other product areas include Aircraft Finance, Shipping Finance and Securitisation structures.
This role is for an experienced asset manager to manage a portfolio of Project Finance exposures within the PFI/PPP team.
Responsibilities include:
• Preparing and processing credit submissions involving the effective use of Rating models.
• Assessing impact of risk relevant events on loan exposures.
• Analysing reports (Financial and Technical).
• Processing Waiver requests.
• Concluding legal documentation
• General account management.
• Managing and monitoring all risk aspects associated to the portfolio.
• Attendance at site visits, customer and bank syndicate meetings.
• Assisting in the development of Rating Models associated with Basel 2 and the Bank's objective to achieve Advanced Internal Ratings Based ("AIRB") status by 2012.
• Liaison with external and internal auditors.
• Adherence to internal Credit Policies Procedures and processes.
We are looking for candidates with a strong track record from a comparable financial institution in credit analysis and portfolio management. Candidates should have a blend of Structured / Project Finance specific product knowledge (in particular, experience of the PFI/PPP market) and a good level of modelling and credit analysis skills.
Job requirements:
• Intermediate / Advanced level financial modelling (Excel / Visual Basic).
• Knowledge of Project Finance structures products, documentation and risk issues (as pertaining to PFI/PPP type models/products).
• Good analytical and credit assessment skills.
• Excellent interpersonal qualities and negotiating ability.
