Transaction Services
A Big4 accountancy practice in Reading is looking for a qualified accountant to join the Valuations team in their Transaction Services department.
The role will include carrying out financial modelling assignments as part of the valuation process and the preparation of detailed financial analysis of market comparable companies across a wide variety of industry sectors. You will be responsible for the preparation of substantial sections of the final valuation report in support of the valuation conclusion, including industry and market analysis, comparable company analysis and subject company historical track record analysis. You will work with colleagues in the Tax, Audit and Deals teams to deliver valuations alongside other services provided by the practice and will build a network, both internally and externally, to facilitate this. You will be required to travel between offices in the region but will have the opportunity to work from home as appropriate but will occasionally be required to travel and stay overnight. There is the opportunity for flexible working hours.
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualified, ideally with first time passes, who has previous experience working a client-facing role in practice with commercial clients. You will have experience of working in Transaction Support or come from an Audit background and have at least a year's PQE. You will have strong analytical skills with the ability to think laterally and to deliver high quality written work. You will have strong attention to detail but be able to see the big picture as well. Working in a team to tight deadlines will be something you enjoy and you will have excellent interpersonal skills and be confident when interacting with others, be they clients or colleagues. You will have the ability to grasp key business drivers and specific valuation issues quickly. As the majority of the clients are in the technology sector experience in this area would be an advantage.
