Purpose:
- To manage projets : from London (DataExchange, SALERIO) , CARAT (Migration P5 and rolling plan), Ds Enhancement, Spice LDC
- Integrate new services or new enhancement project (Ruby – Eforms, Unitrax, Mis Advantage Enhancement, Tactical applications Tax Reclaims, Bicman, Currency overlay …)
- Integrate new requirements and best practice for the ITIL Assessment Release Project
- Develop a management tool to deploy and control the new release process after integration
- Review and automate all the refresh procedures (synchronize different environment to decrease the number of incident due to a release (tactical applications) – ITIL assessment Release Management Reco
- Analyse and implement New Test Scenarii to improve the stability of these applications, automate the tests post deployment. (link with Diap Project)
- Analyse and implement a new tools to stop/start applications with sanity check (Salerio, Tactical Applications, Infocentre FA/GC/TA) to work easier our System Release (Technical Roadmap…).
- Integrate new requirements and best practice for the ITIL Assessment Release Project - Impact Analysis and Release Note
Primary Responsibilities:
Deployment Mgmt:
- Owns the Software Configuration Management (SCM) Process
- Manage test environments (install configure in-house or vendor developed applications, coordinate hardware prerequisite software upgrades, database backups restores required for testing activities, data loads, synch all test environments with code (hot fixes) implemented to production, document all changes).
- Prioritizing scheduling the changes to be applied to test environments; release migration trough the test environments
- Raise issues with installation procedures to project (dev) team / vendor; application release roll back if installation fails (reject release);
- Manage source control tool
- Responsible for the integrity of code and installation instructions provided to the transition team for production installs;
- Manage production release on week-ends (prepare, install configure in-house or vendor developed applications);
- Identification of software application and third party components (code and related work components) which need to be under source control.
Test Support:
- Lock down test environments to protect integrity of code under test.
- Support the release mgmt process by providing requested code level, database backup files for the test environment when and as requested by projects.
- Support the release mgmt process by monitoring requested technical flows and components when and as requested by projects
- Manage incidents on test environments during test period planned by projects
3rd line Support:
- Provide post-release support on production environment (nightly support included)
Technical Analysis and Consulting
- Provides SCM consulting services on new initiatives (small to large of varying complexity).
- Prepares high level and detailed SCM environment specifications for small to medium projects in accordance with PLC, security and architecture documentation objectives.
- Together with Project Manager, determines best mix of development environments that adhere to the SCM process and meet business requirements and project objectives.
- Contributes to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
- Co-ordinates with other RBC Dexia infrastructure groups in creating and modifying existing SCM managed environments based on project needs.
Coding, Testing Documentation
- Validates installation procedures provided by vendors/project teams.
- Documents installation procedures where changes required for RBC Dexia platforms.
- Provide support for the testing process
Relationships Communication
- Ensures that vendor / in-house developers adhere to the documented SCM requirements / process
- Effectively communicates and builds rapport with vendor, in-house dev, QA teams, business unit, PMs, DTS infrastructure.
- Coordinates resolutions of conflicts/issues on SCM controlled environments and escalates others as appropriate.

- Reports to the IT Service Delivery Transition Manager in Luxembourg
- Closely collaborates with Work stream Leaders
- Key internal contacts include: IT project managers, Development teams, Project support team
- Key external contacts include: DTS service owner and technical analyst, Vendors providing external software
