Job Description Piscataway, NJ - Transmission Line Permitting - Program Manager Responsibilities/Duties: - Lead project teams through all phases of power, pipeline and transmission line projects including siting, licensing and permitting - Manage licensing and permitting programs for major projects and clients including management of in-house project teams and/or management of outside contractors. - Work directly with clients (internal and external) to understand and meet their expectations, leverage relationships with existing clients to expand our service offerings while continuing to grow new, productive relationships - Provide overall program strategy and leadership, regulatory interface, and senior review of deliverables - Serve as technical resource for siting and licensing processes throughout the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic - Support agency negotiations and client compliance strategy development - Successfully execute multiple large projects (planning, staffing, budget management, schedule maintenance, quality control, health safety, and coordination of subcontractors and internal support staff) - Develop and expand energy/power clientele, make contacts with prospective clients and maintain existing relationships - Identify new business leads/opportunities; write proposals, develop budgets to respond to client needs or RFPs - Mentor and coach mid-level technical staff and project managers Qualifications: - BS or higher in Ecology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related fields (advanced degree preferred but not required) - 15-20 years of related experience - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Strong technical background and experience in energy and linear project siting and routing analysis, impact analysis, licensing, and permitting/consultation processes - Competence in federal/state environmental permitting and environmental resource analysis (NJ expertise required); past project experience with key regulatory staff, a plus. - Working knowledge of NEPA requirements and experience with impact analysis, EIS's and EA's - Demonstrated organizational and project management skills including: supervisory experience, planning, staffing, budget management, schedule maintenance, quality control, safety, and coordination of subcontractors and internal support staff - Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain client/regulatory relationships - Demonstrated ability to develop new business; particularly through client account growth
