We currently require a Transport General Driver to conduct the effective and efficient delivery of driving duties at Garden Island (Fleet Base West) Rockingham.
The successful candidate will carry out all general transport driving duties including, but not limited to; conducting daily vehicle inspections and carrying out minor maintenance, ensure vehicle record keeping and documentation is fully maintained, liaison with customers, participate in HSE Site Inspections and provide advice to the Senior Transport Coordinator and Regional Transport Supervisor.
To be considered for this position it is essential you meet the following criteria:
- Musthave a minimum of 3 years Driving experience in coaches, trucks or similar.
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Be able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
- Hold a current HR or HC Driver’s License
- Have a Hire and Reward Endorsement.
- Have a Bulk Dangerous Goods Driver’s License.
- Experience in loading and unloading of cargo and goods.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Provide a Police Clearance at the time of successful employment.
