Transportation Supervisor Job in Mansfield 02048, Massachusetts US
A regional auto parts delivery company is looking for a Transportation Supervisor to support several clients in the southern Massachusetts (South Shore) area. Individual will be the liaison between the parts delivery company and the client. Must be able to maintain a team of professional drivers to support auto parts and tire deliveries on a daily basis.
Individual’s primary responsibility will be to manage independent contractors and employee drivers in supporting parts deliveries at multiple client locations. The individual will be responsible for recruiting, training and monitoring the delivery operations of these drivers. Responsible for maintenance of company vehicles. Individual must be a hands on manager that, at times, might be required to step in and fill a driving vacancy at a location.
At least 1-3 years experience in the automotive industry and at least a basic knowledge in auto parts or tire delivery operations. Excellent customer service and communications skills a must. Proficient in MS office Must be able to communicate effectively with both the drivers and management staff.
