QCScientist Huntingdon, PA Temporary to Permanent Position Responsible for the execution of QC test methods for product release and stability and raw material testing as described in the current effective procedures. Will be required to accurately document and interpret test results. The position also requires execution of approved validation protocols. Responsibilities Will operate instruments such as Autoprep, CellTracks Analyzer and flow cytometer to perform several aspects of functional and analytical testing pertaining to the Cell Search products. Will create quality events during out-of-specification (OOS)/failures and conducts preliminary investigation to identify the possible root cause of the OOS/failure. Perform equipment maintenance/calibration as necessary, qualification and train laboratory personnel in the QC process. T Requires authoring of change orders and/or document change orders through OTIS. Will perform SAP transactions required after completion of release testing. The position requires handling of blood samples and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to limit exposure to hazardous and biohazardous materials The qualified candidate will be required to follow company?s safety and environmental policies and perform work/ tasks and operations in compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations, and encourage co-workers to do so; and must consult supervisor if uncertain. Will attend applicable safety and environmental training programs. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field with 2 years of experience working in a quality control lab. Experience with cell culture and with analytical instrumentation such as CellSearch Autoprep, CellTrack Analyzer II and flow cytometer is a plus. Familiarity with guidelines and regulations of FDA, OSHA, ISO and cGMP is desired. The ability to lift up to 50lbs, manual dexterity for handling instruments and repetitive motions and standing for long periods of time is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Good computer skills including word-processing, Excel, and Minitab is desired.
