Treasuries Trader
Department:
Part of the USA Trading franchise, the team covers the USA, Central South America and Canadian regions offering a wide range of financial products across asset classes: Interest Rates, Foreign Exchange, Credit, Commodities, Equity.
My client are looking to add a senior fixed income trader ideally with experience in interest rate bonds in order to expand the USA client franchise and generate new business opportunities. The prospective candidate will be generating PNL through making markets and proprietary / relative-value / arbitrage trading. Ideally, someone who knows some clients directly and can get clients in to trade also.

Daily responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Market making for the bank’s US Treasuries / bond products across the whole curve
- Proprietary / relative-value / arbitrage trading.
- On boarding new clients through their own contacts in the market place.
- The chosen candidate will be responsible for the trading of US Treasuries / bonds across the US markets.
- Close interaction with Sales, Research and DCM teams.
- Increase the flow across current distribution channels by working closely with other internal key stakeholders.
- Generating a positive PNL.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years industry experience trading across the entire curve.
- Must have market knowledge, interest, and experience in Fixed Income industry including a thorough knowledge of US Treasuries / bond products at the long-end of the curv
- Ideally will have good calls in to the market place, with the scope to onboard new clients.
- A proven track record of positive PNL trading US Treasuries / Bonds
- Ability to work under pressure and within an international environment
- Familiarity with electronic trading / payment platforms etc
- Strong academic record
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Entrepreneurial
- Eligibility to work in the USA
