Treasury Capital Optimisation Manager recruitment

To be the successful Treasury Capital Optimisation Manager you will need to offer demonstrable achievements in the strategic thought process and implementation of capital allocation around Risk Weighted Assets (RWA).

A brief outline of the duties include:

• Assist the Head of Capital Management in developing the case for investment in the business from a capital perspective

• Drive the development and operation of key capital and return targets for portfolio, products, countries and clients. This will include the production of in-depth analysis of returns and balance sheet impact across all balance sheet segments

• Assist in the development of new sources of funding and capital via securitisation, covered bonds and other structured products

• Build effective relationships with product and coverage teams to support the design and pricing of liability and debt products

The successful Treasury Capital Optimisation Manager will be able to interpret accounting rules and this could be the result of an accounting qualification or the CFA. The Treasury Capital Optimisation Manager will offer proficiency in leading edge portfolio and balance sheet management concepts, methods and technologies. Knowledge in structuring and implementing portfolio risk transfer solutions such as securitisations, derivatives, CDOs, CLOs, ABS and CDS would also be seen as a distinct advantage. Furthermore, those offering a level of experience of credit risk measurement systems and methodologies, plus an understanding of the Bank’s Risk, Liquidity and Capital framework and of the Regulatory Capital regime would be deemed as very suitable for this vacancy.
